World Elephant Day 2023: Celebrating Elephant Conservation
World Elephant Day is an international annual event held on August 12th to raise awareness about the plight of Asian and African elephants. This year's theme is "Elephants Belong in the Wild."
Elephants are the largest land mammals on Earth, and they play an important role in their ecosystems. They help to disperse seeds and pollinate plants, and they also play a role in water conservation. However, elephants are facing a number of threats, including habitat loss, poaching, and human-elephant conflict.
On World Elephant Day, we celebrate elephants and their importance to the planet. We also recommit ourselves to protecting these amazing creatures.
