Camp Update - March 17, 2025
The Steward Sale is complete! A record 44 tickets were secured by our campers! We now have 50+ people signed up for Elephant Camp—an all-time high for this early in the year! Many others are still waiting to confirm, balancing life’s other demands before committing.
While not yet officially announced, the first general public sale is expected next month, with another sale later in the spring. Our camp has also been offered another round of Steward Tickets! I will submit our request in late April, so if you missed the first round and are ready to secure a guaranteed ticket, please let me know!
Camp Fee & Planning
Our early season camp fee is $600 ($300 deposits will be due by May 1). Your early commitment helps us plan for:
Space allocation with Placement
Amount of shade needed
Kitchen equipment and securing a professional chef.
Subsidizing art, replacing and maintaining equipment, including diesel trucks, multiple trailers and renting a second U-Haul truck this year is afforded by camp fees!
After June 1, the camp fee will increase to $750, so please plan accordingly!
ART!
Elephant Camp is bringing big creative energy this year!
Love, Serve, Remember (Ram Dass group) is bringing profound art pieces, representing the history and dharma of Ram Dass—including a psychedelic projection film!
Kat Tudor, improvisational art teacher at the University of Colorado Springs, is designing and building Elephant Camp’s first-ever mobile art car—The Orb! It will feature projections of Hindu deities and, of course, elephants! This will be Kat’s second Burn with Elephant Camp! LSR has long wanted a Hanuman art car, so synergy is forthcoming between all our creatives!
Since the gate closed last year, Cory and Erik have continued dreaming up lighting effects for our frontage, and private areas too. Davis is also on task with artistic brilliance
A 15-foot-tall inflatable elephant will adorn our camp’s frontage—yes, 15 feet tall!
New Bedouin Tea Lounge! A devotee of Love, Serve, Remember is hosting a traditional tea experience. And to make it even better, Erik personally sourced 2kg of fresh Assam tea in India—he’ll be brewing up 1,000 cups for the camp!
Infrastructure Upgrades:
A new bomber shower setup is in the works.
A quiet, high-wattage, propane-fueled generator is coming to support our needs, mostly subsidized by folks paying a premium to power personal AC units.
More exciting announcements to come—there’s a lot of art chatter this year! Stay tuned!
